Comedy Toasts & Roasts
Would you like to give your friend, relative, business associate, or significant other, a night they’ll never forget? Then let Harry give you, or your guest of honor, his or her own personal roast!
There is a moment in almost every function where someone gets up to give a toast. Imagine at that moment if you had Harry introduced as an old friend or colleague of the guest of honor.
Comedians have a saying, “We only roast the ones we love.” So, it is considered the highest honor for a comedian to be roasted by his peers. Now, you can join their ranks by giving someone the ultimate gift, an incredible night of laughter – that’s all about them!
Harry has been doing customized toasts/roasts for some of the biggest CEO’s in the country, as well as birthdays, retirements, and anniversaries, and he’ll do the same for you.
How It Works
Harry gathers information about the roastee, and any other guests you might wish to be included. Whether you want the roast to be gentle, medium, or risqué, Harry will adjust his material accordingly, and review it with you prior to the event to make sure it’s all in good fun.
At the event, Harry can either serve as Roast master and Emcee, or, go up after all the other toasts as a ringer, introduced as a friend, colleague or someone presenting an award to the guest of honor. So even in situations where everyone is expecting a serious tribute, Harry surprises them with a personalized “toast.” Harry can also help write material for other “toasters.”

Feedback
Harry did an outstanding job as MC for my 75th Birthday Roast. His comedy was current, tasteful and very funny. He pretended to be my doctor and had everyone in stitches. Pardon the pun. I give him my highest recommendation.
Harry was terrific. He entertained our 30 guests in our home and helped us celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday. Harry spent a lot of time on the phone with me finding out about Carol so he could come up with jokes that centered on her and then went over his material with me. Feedback from our guests was very positive. Thanks Harry
Harry Freedman was the keynote speaker at our Annual YPO Chapter Retreat. We hired him to provide a stand-up comedy routine while simultaneously roasting the 9 YPO Graduates who are leaving our chapter this year.
Mr. Freedman, to put it simply, was hilarious. He began the presentation posing as a Strategic Business Speaker. As the presentation continued, the audience began squirming and laughing out loud with his very funny comments. The audience was confused in the beginning because they were expecting a serious speech, and the humor took them totally by surprise.
The other Day Chairs and I provided Mr. Freedman content on the 9 graduates in the weeks preceding the event. Mr. Freedman had obviously spent considerable time preparing for this presentation. He inserted a great deal of very funny “roast” material for each graduate. By the time Mr. Freedman was a third through the presentation, he had the audience rolling with laughter.
His humor was highly intellectual and absolutely original. As he made comments during the evening about a particular graduate, the audience went crazy with laughter. I consider that if people start crying with laughter during a comedy routine, the comedian is at the highest skill level. There were multiple times during the presentation where Mr. Freedman had the audience crying with laughter.
Mr. Freedman’s style is his own, and the audience truly loved it. If I had to bring up a comedian that he reminded me of, it would be Larry David, who I consider a master.
I give Mr. Freedman my highest recommendation. He will have your audience crying with laughter.
As you know, the roast for our retiring president of Choice Hotels was a huge deal. We wanted to make everything as perfect as we could, particularly considering he didn’t know about it. We’ll now that it’s over, thank you for doing an outstanding job.
Your customization was terrific, as was your ability to create very funny material about the company, its executives, and particularly our “roastee.” I want to thank you for reviewing everything ahead of time to make sure that there were no sensitivities touched upon.
As a result, you delivered a wonderfully funny and touching tribute to Chuck that everyone enjoyed. You helped make a great night even more memorable. Thanks for a great job!
Thank you very much for the wonderful job you did as MC and “Toast Master” of our senior vice presidents retirement dinner. You had everyone in stitches and I know there were many who were disappointed that they weren’t a target of your jokes. We have been inundated with letters specifically complimenting you as being “right on target” with your jokes aimed at pre-arranged individuals.
